Returns and Cleaning

No, leave the cleaning to us! We handle all professional dry cleaning to maintain the quality of our collection.

A late return fee of $25 per day applies if the dress is not returned on time.

Minor wear and tear (like a loose hem or makeup transfer) is covered in the hire fee. However, significant damage, such as rips, stains, or water damage, may incur an additional fee, which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Returning your parcel is easy and hassle-free:
For Australia-Wide Orders:
o Place the dress in the provided pre-paid return satchel.
o Drop the satchel off at any Australia Post location or post box by the last day of your hire period.
o Ensure you keep the tracking receipt until the parcel is registered as returned.
For Local Orders (Warner’s Bay Pickup/Drop-Off):
o Place the dress in the garment bag provided and ensure it is ready for return.
o Drop it into the KSS Dress Hire drop box located outside our store by the last day of your hire period.
Shipping Policy

We offer Australia-wide shipping for all our non-local customers, ensuring that your perfect dress arrives in time for your special occasion. Our shipping fee includes professional dry cleaning and a pre-paid returns label for a hassle-free return process.

Minimum Notice: We require a minimum of 5 business days' notice for postal orders to ensure sufficient delivery time.
Late Orders: If you’ve placed your order with fewer than 5 business days' notice, please contact us directly to confirm if timely delivery is possible.

Pickup: Collect your dress on the first day of your hire period from our studio.
Drop-off: Return your dress by the last day of your hire period by placing it in the KSS Dress Hire dropbox at our studio.

Delays: While we do our best to ensure timely delivery, external delays with Australia Post may occur. We recommend booking early to avoid potential shipping issues.
Returns: Simply place your dress in the provided pre-paid return satchel and drop it at your local Australia Post or in the KSS Dress Hire dropbox if you're local to Warner’s Bay.
Caring for Your Dress During Hire

Store the dress in the provided garment bag when not wearing it.
Avoid spraying perfume or using body oils directly on the dress.
Keep the dress away from sharp objects, jewellery, and accessories that may catch on delicate fabrics.

Steaming: The safest way to remove creases is by using a garment steamer. Hang the dress on a padded hanger and steam from top to bottom. Keep the steamer at least 10-15 cm away from the fabric to avoid watermarks.
Shower steam trick: Hang the dress in your bathroom while running a hot shower (but keep it away from direct water). The steam will help release wrinkles gently.
Ironing: Only use an iron if you are certain the dress fabric can handle it. Use a low-heat setting, place a pressing cloth (e.g., a tea towel) over the fabric, and avoid direct contact with delicate fabrics.
Sizing and Alterations

Our collection includes sizes 8 to 22, with inclusive options to suit a range of body shapes. We pride ourselves on having dresses for everyone.

Yes, a $50 refundable deposit is required when you hire a dress. The deposit will be refunded once the dress is returned on time and in good condition.

Cancellations

Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled appointment time are free of charge.
Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a rebooking fee if the appointment is rescheduled.
Dress Hire Bookings:
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the pick-up date are eligible for a full refund, including the deposit.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the pick-up date will result in forfeiture of the $50 deposit.
Refunds
No refunds are provided for:
Change of mind after booking confirmation.
Incorrect size or style selection after pick-up.
One-off promotional deals or discounted hires.
Refunds are only provided if:
The dress is unavailable due to an internal error, such as double booking.
The client is unsatisfied due to a fitting issue during the appointment, and no suitable alternative is available.
Exchanges:
If the dress does not fit upon final try-on at the studio, clients may select an alternative option (subject to availability).
2. Online Dress Hire Policy
Cancellations
Order Cancellations:
Orders cancelled 48 hours or more before dispatch qualify for a full refund or a credit note.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of dispatch are non-refundable.
Refunds
No refunds are provided for:
Incorrect sizing if the dress was selected without a fitting appointment. However, an exchange option is available (see below).
Change of mind after receiving the dress.
Postage or delivery delays caused by external couriers.
One-off promotional or discounted hires.
Refunds are provided if:
The dress arrives damaged or faulty (photo proof must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery).
The dress is unavailable due to a booking error by KSS Dress Hire.
Exchanges:
If the dress does not fit, clients may request an exchange within 24 hours of receiving the dress. The dress must be returned unworn and in its original condition.
Additional shipping fees apply for exchanges.

Our dropbox is accessible 24/7 for your convenience. It is located just outside the store, allowing you to return your dress at a time that suits you, day or night.
